Recently, I was looking for something and stumbled across the following link where people were trying to find who wrote these beautiful verses. I'm not sure who wrote it. But I read it first in 2002. So the claims that it was written in 2004 is wrong! It may have been written by " Brian A. "Drew" Chalker" as many sites claim. I cannot prove or disprove it! No matter who wrote, it is one of my favourites. And the author has written a very thought provoking piece. And it makes me wonder, why and how long you are going to be in my life - A reason, a season or a lifetime!

I always thought this is an age old forward which keeps coming back to your mail box forwarded by somebody or other. Never thought much about who wrote it. Anyway, it is an interesting controversy!
I have to agree that it is one of those most touching forwards. Like Ammu says I never tried to find who wrote this and why. Somethings are better if it is allowed to touch you lives and remain so... Isn't it?
I can understand what you are talking about when you say that you never tried to find the author.. I also never thought about it until I decided to write about it:-)

It is so true about the people who come into your life! If you can really pinpoint or understand why they are there in your life and for what purpose - Reason, season or lifetime - You would really know what you should do and how you should treat them:-)
Funny controversy too! As soon as something beautiful is created, there are so many who want to claim the ownership!
